What is rj45 socket

The RJ45 is a type of information socket (ie, communication terminal) connector in the wiring system. The connector is composed of a plug (connector, crystal head) and a socket (module). RJ is the abbreviation of Registered Jack, which means 'registered socket'. RJ45 type network cable plug, also known as crystal head, is made of eight cores and is widely used in the connection between network equipment (called Category 5 or twisted pair) between LAN equipment and ADSL broadband Internet users.

Rj45 socket design principle

The rj45 socket consists of a plug and a socket. A connector consisting of these two components is connected between the wires to achieve electrical continuity of the wires. The core of the RJ45 module is the modular jack. Gold-plated wire or socket holes maintain a stable and reliable electrical connection to the modular socket shrapnel. Due to the friction between the shrapnel and the jack, the electrical contact is further enhanced as the plug is inserted. The jack body is designed with an integral locking mechanism so that when the modular plug is inserted, the maximum pull strength can be produced outside the interface of the plug and the jack. The wiring module on the RJ45 module is connected to the twisted pair through a 'U' shaped terminal slot, and the locking spring can be used to fix the RJ45 module on an information exit device such as a panel.

Rj45 role:

The RJ45 plug, also known as the RJ45 Modular Plug, is used for termination of data cables to enable connection and change of equipment and patch panel modules. The RJ45 crystal head is required to have good conduction performance; the contact trigeminal reed has a gold plating thickness of 50μm, which satisfies the super 5 transmission standard and conforms to the T568A and T568B line sequences; and has the functions of preventing looseness, insertion and removal, and self-locking.

The RJ45 plug is a standard connector in copper cabling that together with the jack (RJ45 module) form a complete connector unit. A connector consisting of these two components is connected between the wires to achieve electrical continuity of the wires. It is also an integral part of the integrated wiring technology finished jumper, and the RJ45 crystal head is usually connected at both ends of the twisted pair cable. In the standard integrated wiring design and installation, this accessory product is usually not listed separately, that is, the user does not claim to complete the connection between the twisted pair and the RJ45 plug.
